Winter break is finally OVER! Holy crap, that was a long one. I thought it would be fun to d a quick recap of our holiday and a big photo dump here! My oldest got out of school on December 12th. That feels like a month ago! Oh, wait… It was. He has a long break at his school, but I took him out a few day early to go visit my family in Utah!!
He loved walking my mom’s little dog. We had an early Christmas celebration. He got to ride in the back of a truck. (!!!!) And we took LOTS of naps.
Our Christmas tradition in New York involves a Christmas Eve party with my in-laws that goes well past midnight, cinnamon rolls for breakfast and a trip to 2nd Avenue Deli for a late lunch. This is my favorite thing to do! Chocolate soda shots for everyone!
We spent the a few days upstate, enjoying the country. And then lived in near hibernation thanks to the Bomb Cyclone. I don’t think I have ever felt such cold for such an extended period of time in this town. I can’t stand being forced to stay inside, and having below zero temps meant we were stuck inside way more that I liked.
We partied hard New Year’s Eve and celebrated finding out another boy cousin was coming into the family. My oldest has a ton of cousins on my husband’s side and all but one are boys! I think it must be in the genes.
I think we are on the other side of the frigid temps, and with school back in session, I am looking forward to a bit of routine in our life. It’s been a blast traipsing around the city and spending some serious snuggle time with my oldest. I’m a little sad to be back to the grind of school for my oldest, but he is way more than ready to get back on track. The attitude that was happening Sunday night…. haha!
Cheers to the start of 2018!
