I honestly cannot believe I am turning thirty tomorrow. More because I have felt like a 30 year old for the past five years and feel like it is finally time! Other than a gray hair a few weeks ago, not much is different from any other day of the week. I thought sharing a little bit about me would be an awesome way to ring in the big three-oh here on the blog.
- Born in California, raised in Utah
- I have four sisters
- As a kid, I would sneak into the fridge and take nibbles out of butter sticks
- For my tenth birthday, all I wanted was a makeover. My mom took me and a few friends to our local salon for up do’s, manicures and full glam makeup. Best birthday ever.
- When I was seven or eight, my mom told me I wasn’t allowed to buy makeup. Clearly, I immediately went to Big Lots and used my allowance on a horribly orange blush and hideous brown lipstick. I put it in my stocking on Christmas morning and told her Santa brought it for me. I obviously got grounded.
- My love for Diet Coke runs deep. Add a lime and I’m yours.
- If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be pizza. Or street tacos. Or Chinese. Ok, don’t make me choose!
- My sister and I organized a bake sale as kids and brilliantly set up shop right next to a major construction zone. May have been my most successful entrepreneurial venture yet.
- I was a nanny for nearly 8 years before having my own little baby. Some of the worst and most beautiful years of my life.
- Potterhead for life!!! (I’m in Ravenclaw, you??)
- I’m desperate for a tattoo, but too afraid of it not being what I want to go through with it.
- My hair was kind curly as a little girl. When I was pregnant with my oldest, almost all of my curls disappeared! I like to say he stole them from me.
- I start listening to Christmas music on November 1st. No chill.
- I’m 5’9″… and 1/2
- I moved to New York when I was 19 years old all by myself. Best decision ever!
- Cooking for others is my love language. I love to host, and if I feed you, I love you.
- My dream is to live in Paris, so I can eat bread and cheese all. day. long.
- My first car was a Camaro.
- Sushi and I are in a very committed relationship.
- Being on the beach is the one thing that can reinvigorate my soul, no matter how I am feeling.
- In middle school, I was obsessed with The Godfather and all things mafia. I was determined to marry an Italian mobster.
- Bad weather puts me in a serious funk. If I go too long without seeing the sun, I start to get very…. crabby!
- My favorite flower is a dahlia.
- My husband and I got hitched at City Hall.
- I have moved seven times in the last 9 years. And going for one more!
- If I could only wear one shoe for the rest of my life, it would be white chucks.
- The first CD I bought was Spice World.
- I first traveled out of the country with my mom when we went to Rome! One of the best vacations ever!
- I am a minimalist in everything but my lipstick collection.
- I lived in London for a year, which is where my oldest was born!
If you made it to the end of this post, you are a total champ! I would love to hear a fun fact about you so we can get to know each other! Cheers to another 30!
xx

I have always disliked the idea because of the costs.

The process begins through the uncomplicated activity associated
with an account option. There we were holding, anticipating their forthcoming experience and joyously reliving the very last one —
Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, within the guises of actors William
Moseley (now a dashing 20-year-old), Anna Popplewell (a newly
minted Oxford freshman), Skandar Keynes (with vocal octaves further
when he was 15), and Georgie Henley (approaching teenhood, a fantastic
six inches taller than we last saw her). The plastic’s name is often abbreviated
to CR-39, standing for Columbia Resin, in fact it is less than 50 % the load of glass,
which supplanted quartz in the early twentieth century.
What a fun post! Great idea and fun facts!
I am a Christmas music lover too! No shame! Haha and London?? How fun that must have been!

Happy Birthday to you. Moving to Paris would be amazing! After all, it is the city of lights. Those photos made me feel so nostalgic that it made me bring out my childhood album.
Thank you! <3 It is so fun to look back!
Happy Birthday! I love all of these photos! I really love looking back at all the nostalgic photos that my grandmother use to take. Fun fact about me: I make incredible desserts (which doesn’t help with my family maintaining healthy weights) and I have a horrible shoe and pocketbook fetish! This fetish is so bad that my daughter (13) jokes about which ones she’ll get when I die! I’m not sure she understands yet that there are hundreds of each and she gets them all!
I don’t think a shoe and handbag fetish is “horrible.” Sounds like a fabulous collection to have! 😉
Happy birthday! May you add many more to this list. You are strong and brave. Thank you for the empowerment you share~
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! Means so much! <3 <3
