The Spanx Faux Leather Leggings have been around for a few seasons now, but this year I was finally brave enough to try them out. When they came in the mail, I still wasn’t sold.
Would these really look OK on my big booty and thighs? Was I confident enough to rock something like leather leggings outside of my house? I had seen some of my favorite bloggers style them so many ways, and loved the way they looked. But I wasn’t convinced that they would look good on me.
I think I left them hanging in my closet for a few weeks while I debated returning them or not. I did what I always do when I am not sure about a piece of clothing or lipstick color. I started out by wearing them around the house, trying different outfits with them, and getting a bit more comfortable in them.
It only took a few times before I realized that I LOVE these dang leggings. They are tight, suck you in and keep everything from jiggling when you are strutting down the street. The sheen the faux leather has really takes these up a notch from you regular old pair of leggings. I have had no pilling over multiple wears and they really are so versatile. These are the leggings I pull out 9/10 times when I go for a comfortable, classic, leggings outfit.

Cozy and Casual
I love this look. These tunics from Amazon are freaking amazing. They are the perfect layering item and are so comfortable and soft. Popping on a nicer, cashmere sweater keeps this from being too sporty. Always love adding a chunky scarf to draw the eye up towards the face.
Pop of Red
I don’t think I could live without these red flats I grabbed from target a few months ago. They are so comfortable and just add something special to an outfit. Another perfect tunic from Amazon, and this gorgeous sweater from Shop Coedition make this super stylish and all woman.
Mixed Prints
This is one of my favorite sweaters from this season, and I love it paired with a chiffon like tunic, the leather leggings and my leopard flats. There is a lot going on, but it totally works. Everything is basic, but the contrasting patterns, different textures blend together for a super interesting outfit without a lot of fluff.
Sexy, but Still Classy
I don’t know what it is about these boots, but they are a total confidence boost for me. I love how they fit, they high quality material and the pointed toe. Pairing them with an oversized sweater and more structured utility jacket tone down the sexiness that over the knee boots bring to these leggings. It is all about balance and staying in the classy side of sexy.
Grandpa Glam
This sweater blazer from J Crew came in this week, and I absolutely love it. It is super oversized (may exchange for one size down!). But I am dying for the fuzzy, grandpa style sweater and soft flannel pair with a classic block heel. This would be such a fabulous outfit for a date night on those cold winter days, or for when you want to just feel a little extra while staying cozy AF.
