I am mentally willing the weather to change at this point. I mean, if I keep stuffing my shopping carts full of spring clothes and swimsuits, eventually Mother Nature will have to cooperate.
I haven’t ever been “brave” enough to try white jeans until this year, but I have been determined to find a pair that works for me. I know I am not the only person who has struggled finding a pair of white jeans that ticks all the boxes. Here is what I went searching for!
- Not see through
- Skinny all the way to the ankle
- High waisted
Not a very long list of requirements, but it turns out that these were a bit harder than I thought to find!
I tried out three different pairs, and three different price points. Each pair had their pros and cons. While none were “my dream jean”, there was one pair that found a spot in my closet for the upcoming spring season.
Old Navy High Rise Rockstar
These jeans fit just like the other Rockstar jeans. They have a lot of stretch and have a nice high rise on them.
The pockets on this pair are nude (Brilliant!), which means you don’t have to worry about funny outlines showing through.
The zipper comes up just a bit short, meaning that there might be a bit of camel toe action that happens. Keeping it real here!
These fit true to size.
Torrid
These are the Torrid Jegging in White Wash. Despite being labeled a jegging, they don’t have quite as much stretch as the Old Navy pair.
They are a high rise, and definitely a bit on the snug side, though they will definitely stretch out, so stay true to size.
Unfortunately, they have white pockets, which was super annoying. You can see the full outline of the pocket. I found the more ways I styled white jeans, the more I realized that I probably would wear white denim a bit more like leggings than traditional jeans.
These are a great mid range option, but I would choose the ON version, just due to the pockets. They fit true to size.
J Crew
I had really high hopes for these jeans, as my black and dark wash toothpick jeans from J Crew are my number one favorite right now. But they really missed the mark for me.
Yet again, the pockets were white with a mesh panel across the front, making it look like I had a white shirt tucked in.
The fit on these was by far my favorite. They fit just like my other toothpick jeans. They are slim, and fitted right through my ankle. But they are so so comfortable. I can lounge in these all day!
These fit true to size, and come up right above my belly button.
They were the most see through, which is the only reason I ended up sending these back.
After trying on a few more pairs, I decided to stick with the most affordable pair, from Old Navy! Since none of the jeans were PERFECT, I picked these. The nude pockets sold me, and at the lower price point, I don’t have to worry about them getting stained or needing a new pair next year! Win win!
