I seem to be wearing less and less makeup lately. Partly because we still barely go anywhere and hardly see anyone. And also because masks and makeup just aren’t a great combo. But whenever I have a zoom meeting or online conference call, I like to spruce up my face with a few quick products.
Minimal makeup gives me life, because it lets my skin breathe and not feel weighed down. I prefer to feel like I have no makeup on, especially when I am at home. This easy routine I did over on my IGTV makes it super easy to get yourself glam enough for the camera without feeling like you have a face full of makeup.

Before getting started with your makeup, make sure you have done your skin care routine, and at the very least moisturized and spf’d. We aren’t using a primer for hanging out at home, so you want your skin to feel it’s best.
THE SIX HERO PRODUCTS
- ILIA SKIN TINT SERUM CONCEALER – Choose a lightweight concealer that is close to your skin tone, not one that is super bright. We are just looking to even out texture or reduce any redness that may look worse under our indoor lighting. Blend it in with a dense foundation brush, gently sweeping it under your eyes and over your lids.
If you have super dark under-eye circles, use a tiny amount of eye brightener prior to applying concealer. - TOO FACED CHOCOLATE SOLEIL BRONZER – Grab your favorite bronzer and a big fluffy brush and sweep your bronzer in a 3E shape along the outer edge of your face. You aren’t looking for an intense contour, just a bit of warmth to the face. Add a tiny bit to your nose and chin to add some extra life to your face.
- GLOSSIER BROW FLICK – Brows are the window frames to the soul? Is this a saying? If not, it should be. Brows make a huge difference, and even if I am not putting an ounce of makeup on, I at least comb through my brows. I like to use the Glossier Brow Flick to thicken up and define my brows just a bit. It is easy and quick!
- ONE/SIZE POINT MADE 24 HOUR LIQUID LINER PEN – This step is totally optional, especially if you add in a bold lip, but I think doing a quick cat eye can make a big pop on camera. It opens up the eye and adds a lot of depth. This liner is new to me, but wow! It is super black and glides on like a dream.
- ILIA LIMITLESS LASH LENGTHENING MASCARA – A quick coat of mascara to add a little oomph. I use this Ilia mascara on a daily basis, mainly because it is clean and easy to apply. It doesn’t last well in the heat, so skip this if you are out and about!
- UOMA BEAUTY BADASS ICON MATTE LIPSTICK IN MIRIAM – Choose a BOLD matte lipstick for your next zoom meeting. It makes a serious statement and says you are ready for business. I love this deep, mauve color for fall, but make sure whatever color you choose, you stick with a more matte, or satin finish. Skip the gloss for zoom, as it can be a little distracting and lead to your lipstick bleeding.
Voila! In less than five minutes with only six products, you can look camera-ready for Zoom. This is also great if you just like to get ready quickly or want to make an impact wherever you are going. You don’t have to do a full beat to be totally glam.
