FOUR FAVORITE FOUNDATIONS

There is an AMAZING sale happening right now over at Sephora, one I don’t think I have seen before! All foundations are 20% off! Yup, you read that right! Now, through September 20, 2021, all foundations and tinted moisturizers are on sale.

I am a firm believer in no one size fits all, but this is especially true when it comes to foundation. There are so many different brands, formulas, skin types, and everyone has different wants and needs from their foundation. Finding what works best for you could take a little trial and error, but hopefully this post is a good starting point!

Currently, my skin is pretty balanced. It doesn’t run very dry anymore, which has been a welcome change! I also don’t get very oily, except around my nose. I deal with some hormonal acne and have texture in my skin. I have never gotten any Botox or fillers, so those fine lines are definitely popping form time to time. Knowing a little bit about my skin might be helpful in knowing if these foundations will work for you. Even if we aren’t the same type, they could still be a winner, though!

FOUR FAVORITE FOUNDATIONS

FENTY BEAUTY EAZE DROP BLURRING SKIN TINT

This is one of my favorite every day base products. The Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint is a beautiful, lightweight foundation with a light to medium coverage. It has a luminous matte finish, which means it dries down while still looking fresh and glowy. It has a ton of shades, and each one is relatively flexible, making it easy to find a good color match for your skin. You can see my review on Instagram here!

This foundation lets my natural skin shine through, which is what I love for daily wear. I imagine if you had freckles, they would peek out! It isn’t going to be a super flawless finish, but more perfecting of your real skin, blurring imperfections and just smoothing out your skin. Leaving you looking like you!

NARS SOFT MATTE COMPLETE FOUNDATION

If you are looking for a base that is going to stay all day AND feel like you aren’t wearing any makeup, Nars Soft Matte Complete Foundation is the GOAT. It is a full coverage foundation that is somehow totally weightless on the skin. When I tell you it feels like there is nothing on my face when I wear this, I am being serious. It dries down completely matte, without looking flat. I don’t know how they do it!

You will need to prep your skin before this foundation, as it is full coverage. It can cling to dry patches, which is a downside, but with a proper skincare routine before hand, I think this is a great option for all skin types.

LAURA MERCIEW FLAWLESS LUMIÈRE RADIENCE-PERFECTING FOUNDATION

The name of this one is a mouthful, but let’s leave that aside and focus on the good things. I think this foundation doesn’t get nearly enough love, and I don’t know why! It is the perfect medium base. It isn’t matte, but it isn’t dewy, just a perfect, healthy finish.

With a medium coverage, this is a solid choice if you are looking for a decent amount of coverage on the daily, or a more natural looking base when doing a full face. I love the longevity I get when wearing this foundation, and it is one of my go to’s for date night or events.

I currently wear the shade Cashew.

SUPERGOOP GLOW SCREEN

Ok, ok… I know this isn’t technically a foundation, but this is what I wear every single day as my base. Most days, this plus a little concealer is all I need, especially when it is hot and humid out. It has the slightest tint to it, evens out my skin, and balances the redness I have. I cannot say enough good things about it!

I love that this offers me the sun protection I need, gives me a the barely there coverage that I look for as a busy mom, and it really makes me feel fresh. It also acts as a primer, so if I want more coverage, I can layer anything else I want on top.
