We are two years into making loungewear our everyday clothing, and I am still totally ok with it. I thought I dressed comfortably before, but since I gave birth my need for comfy clothes has increased exponentially. But here is the thing, I still like to feel put together. Like I made an effort.
Lezé the Label is a new to me brand that I discovered on, wait for it… TikTok! They are a small, woman of color owned shop that uses sustainable fabrics and ethical labor practices. I love their brand ethos and was super intrigued by their workwear-inspired sweat sets.
They have a few different styles, and I ended up buying the Maya Turtleneck and the Haven Pant in Black. Let me tell you that these are BLACK. When I pulled them out of the package, I realized half of the black clothes I have bought in my life aren’t nearly inky enough. It just screams chic.
So, let’s start with the fabric because I cannot even begin to share how much I love it. It is a thicker material made from a blend of modal, nylon (made from recycled fishing nets!), and spandex. It has a ton of stretch, so it is very forgiving. The fabric almost feels springy, like a marshmallow! The thick fabric skims over the body like a cloud. And despite it being thick, it is super breathable.
I went with my normal size of a 3X on both the top and bottom. They both fit generously, thanks largely in part to the stretch. I would suggest going down to your smaller size if you are in between or aren’t sure which will work for you. Especially in the bottoms.
One thing I love about the sets is they don’t stretch out. So many of my joggers and sweats bag out by the end of the day and leave me with a saggy bottom, but my Lezé set holds it shape through wear and wash.
The price point of the items falls into the “luxe” category for what I would usually spend on loungewear, but it isn’t so outlandish that I don’t think it is worth it. The price is only slightly above that of Athleta, and the quality is outstanding.
Let me know if you try the brand out and what you think!
