This house has made so many of our dreams come true, and my inner hostess is having the best time ever. I have never had the opportunity to design a guest bedroom, but you know I had a vision!
Our house is a traditional colonial-style home, with the most charming details. I wanted to lean into that countryside aesthetic and make a soft, welcoming room that still had a bit of my personal style tied in. A few details are still to come; I will update you when those happen! A pendant light, paint refresh, and a bit of wall detailing will make everything really come together.

I LOVE the look of a mirror and nightstand combo. It just screams classic in my opinion. These metal mirrors from Raymour and Flanigan are stunning and go perfectly with the nightstands and lamps. I picked the Somerset Nightstands for their just a hint of off-white color, They aren’t too yellow, but don’t feel basic or new. Just that little hint of vintage! Debating changing out the knobs. Let me know your thoughts!
I don’t love the carpet in our house. I am still debating on whether I add a rug in here. I personally think that a rug really grounds a room, regardless of carpet or not. New carpet is on the list eventually but isn’t a current priority. How do you feel about a rug in a carpeted room?
As for the bedding, I have been in a committed relationship with Target’s Casaluna line for over a year now. It is just the best for the price point. I layered a textured comforter with a natural linen quilt to add some dimension versus going all white. Still bright and fresh, but just feels bit less hotel.
Since I am new to the guest room life, what are a few things you really appreciate having when you stay in someone’s home? I would love to make sure this space is as cozy and filled with love as the rest of our home!
