After speaking with my fertility doctor and working closely with a fertility nutritionist, pretty much my only “diet” goal right now is to get more protein in my diet. Which is hard for me, because I am not a huge meat lover.
I’m trying to keep my sugar intake lower, too. Protein balls, bites and bars all have so much sugar, even when they are all natural, and that generally isn’t how I want to start my day off. So, I have resorted to trying no less that 1,233,654 different protein powders over the last few months. Thank goodness for the sample packs that Whole Foods sells!
I finally found Isopure protein powder, which is by far the best taste that I have tried, is zero carb, and packs a serious serving of protein in every scoop. There are a ton of flavors, and while the chocolate and salted caramel flavors are yummy, the cookies and cream version is where it is at!
I’ve started making my coffee into a protein drink every morning, and it is bomb. I start my day off right and don’t have to worry so much through out the rest of the day that I need to find ways to get more protein in. I’m pretty sure that Isopure is also both Keto and WW friendly. Winning.

Protein Packed Iced Latte
- 6 oz milk of choice
- 1 scoop collagen
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 2 shots espresso
- splash of cream (optional)
Make your espresso first. Add in your collagen and protein powder. Stir really well into the hot espresso to make sure everything is completely dissolved. It will be thick.
Add in your preferred milk. I’ve been loving using a plant based milk, like coconut milk. Fill to the top with ice, give it one last stir and voila! A delicious, icy, protein packed coffee. Top with a splash of cream if you want to add a bit of creaminess.
You could also pour everything into a blender for a creamy, frothy, blended coffee situation if that is more your speed! But I like to keep things lazy during the week.
Do you use protein powder? What is your favorite way to get a little extra protein in during the day? I need all the tips!
