I firmly believe that a classic, white button down is a closet staple. But I haven’t found one that is just right. I thought that I would want something super classic, like an oxford shirt, but after seeing the Madewell Courier shirt on so many of my friends, I decided to give it a go.
Well it was a big fail. When I first tried it on, I immediately ripped it off, shoved it back in the bag and vowed to never try something like that again. Until I was influenced again with the same effect.
A few weeks ago, I had an epiphany that maybe it wasn’t me and it wasn’t the shirt. It was how I was wearing it that was all wrong. So, I ordered the dang thing for a THIRD time and decided to try it once more.
Every now and again, I like to prove my own self wrong. We put so many limits on ourselves. And at the end of the day, it is US that is holding us back. No more! I rocked the heck out of this Madewell top, and am excited to have it be in my closet’s weekly rotation.
