So many of us are now living the work from home life. Not much has changed for me, as I have been working from home for the last two years. Other than the fact that I now have I a five year old who talks non stop and has a crap ton of homework to do every day. I digress!
When you are new to working from home, it feels amazing! Who needs to get dressed? Who needs a routine? Well, I sure do. If I haven’t gotten dressed and ready for the day, that 2:00 PM slumps rolls around and I just start feeling like a slob and I get cranky.
I make an effort almost every day to get dressed, put a little concealer and mascara on, and “sort of” do my hair. It makes a huge difference in productivity and my overall mood throughout the day.
Getting dressed doesn’t have to mean you are putting on a suit or dress shirt. Or even real jeans. Leggings, dresses, and other “Pajamas but Stylish” clothes allows you to be lounging on the couch, but still comfy AF.

I recently grabbed this wide leg jumpsuit from Walmart, and WHOA. It is the world’s softest material. The wide legs make couch working super enjoyable, while the drawstring waist keeps it from moving into sloppy territory. I don’t wear the denim jacket all day, but it is great to throw on to walk the dog or go for a bike ride with Marcus.
Stretchy jeans give me life! These are my favorite Madewell jeans of the moment, and they are super stretchy. This is where having two sizes can come in handy. I have these in both the 36 and 37, and am rocking the 37’s for the extra room and comfort! A peplum top is the perfect work from home shirt!
Le Weekend all day every day. I bought this hoodie a few weeks ago, and it has become my go to for when I just want to be cozy. It has a super fuzzy inside, and is the perfect relaxed fit. I grabbed the 3X in both the hoodie and my favorite joggers. They aren’t a cotton material, more like an athletic fabric that gives these a more polished look than just sweats.
The house dress of all our dreams. I shared this dress last week and have already work it twice. It is truly like wearing pajamas, despite it being an actual dress. Made of 100% cotton, it is lightweight and breathable. Wearing a cute cardigan on top pulls it into an outfit.
Did you really think this would be complete without leggings? Sure, you can wear no bra, a college T-shirt, and some ratty old leggings, or you can put on a wireless bra, a cute striped tunic and pretend like you are off to run errands around town. When the reality is you are just cleaning up the 483594389 snacks your kids have eaten in two hours.
