Nothing says the holidays quite like a fabulous outfit. Sequins, sparkle, tulle, and a twirl or two get me in the festive mood. I also think that skirts are the most comfortable way to dress up. Give me an elastic waist midi skirt and a chunky sweater any day of the winter, and I will happily show up to your Zoom holiday party.
I have found some incredible skirts over the years and have a bit of a collection of “holiday skirts.” This year looks very different, with no big parties or get togethers on the horizon. But that doesn’t mean we have to forgo all of our favorite parts of the season.
For me, I love a reason to dress up, put on red lipstick and feel like a bombshell. Since being pregnant, I have felt anything BUT. Until I went to shoot some holiday looks, and realized that a lot of why I was feeling blah was because I didn’t bother to try!
Whether you are hosting just your family this year, going to see Christmas lights in your car instead of caroling down the street or having all of your gatherings via Zoom, you can still dress up and look and feel like the perfect present that you are.

I’ve got a ton of amazing skirts linked below for you, all of which are on sale TODAY, November 30th. But I couldn’t leave you without highlighting my favorites.
- Anthro can do no wrong in the skirt department, in my opinion. I have a tulle skirt from them last year that is beyond epic. I love the way they styled this mint green skirt for winter.
- This red skirt from Eloquii is amazing. The pattern of sequins and knit feel very Nutcracker to me, and it has the essential elastic waistband.
- This is a great dupe for my green velvet skirt in the photos above. Velvet just screams holiday and the emerald color is gorgeous.
- I’m contemplating this skirt for New Year’s Eve (alone in our apartment, ha!).
- If you want something a little more versatile and super affordable, this red, pleated skirt from Target is on sale for only $20! It also comes in black.

OMG! All of your posts make me want to shop! I love your style and the tone you use in your blog posts. Thanks for the inspiration! Ps. I especially love the green swing skirt from modcloth (& the one in your photo shoot). So cute!
