It has been so long since I have had a decent Trunk Club. I think the last two I sent back without keeping a single item! But I am keeping a few things from this box, and what I loved, I LOVED.
If you don’t know what Trunk Club is, it is a styling service provided by Nordstrom. You are getting all the amazing brands that are sold on the Nordstrom website, not random off-brands or low-quality pieces. Just the good stuff! And if it is on sale on the Nordstrom website, it is also on sale in your trunk.
If you are a Nordstrom credit or debit cardholder, it is a totally free service! If you aren’t, not to worry! You can pay a $25 styling fee upfront, that gets credited towards anything you decide to keep – making it essentially free if you purchase something.
When you sign up through this link, you get a discount on your first trunk! In the past, you had an assigned stylist, who would curate your box each time you requested. They would get to know your preferences and wants, and it made it really easy to get an awesome trunk Unfortunately, that changed recently and you are now assigned a random stylist for each box.
All this means is that when you go to get your trunk, you want to be incredibly specific in what you want and need in your box. You have to really communicate with your stylist. They don’t know you and definitely can’t read your mind. Be an over-sharer!

TIPS FOR A GOOD TRUNK
- PINTEREST – You can share Pinterest boards with your stylist that you create for inspiration. Think about making one for each trunk you request to give your stylist an idea of what you are looking to add to your closet or what your current style preferences are.
- INSTAGRAM – Share your Instagram with him/her! Send them a few photos of outfits you have worn that make you feel amazing or that you thought were really stylish. Seeing your body shape and what clothes you truly wear will really help them out.
- DIRECT LINKS – You can also send over links to actual items you are looking at. It is really helpful if they are from Nordstrom, too! Trunk Club doesn’t always have the exact item, but it happens more often than not! (I requested a specific robe and pair of PJ’s this trunk!)
- BE HONEST – If you hate something or know you aren’t going to wear something that is on-trend, tell your stylist. They can also learn a lot from what you DON’T like.
- GIVE FEEDBACK – When you send your trunk back, you can leave feedback on the trunk as a whole and each individual item. Please take the time to do this for your stylist! Even if you loved something but couldn’t keep more than a few items, or if you asked for a specific pair of jeans and hated the fit. COMMUNICATE! Your next stylist will be able to review all of this information.
