I absolutely love being pregnant. It is such a special time, and it really does go by in the blink of an eye. Though, sometimes you need to be on the other side to really feel that! When you are counting the weeks, it can feel as though that baby won’t be here for so long.
I’ve been trying to savor every single moment, especially after waiting so long to finally be in this position. We waited years to get pregnant, and while I would love to imagine myself pregnant again in the future, I don’t know if we will be lucky enough to make that happen. Truly cherishing this pregnancy.
But that doesn’t mean it has been all sunshine and butterflies, either. Pregnancy is hard, and my body is definitely struggling some days. I think the seven years between my first pregnancy and now is one of the biggest factors. I’m just a bit older and definitely more tired!
I’ve been doing a few things to treat myself every week. Making little rituals and routines, taking a little extra time to pamper myself, and it is really helping my mindset. And making the time go by a little quicker!
The gals over at Birth Order reached out to me to see if I wanted to give their boxes a try, and I jumped at the chance. I love supporting small, woman-owned businesses, and the concept of Birth Order is BRILLIANT.
A pregnancy and postpartum focused online shop with curated boxes by trimester, Birth Order offers so many beautiful products to help make pregnancy a little more enjoyable. From fun books to read while preparing for birth and baby to first trimester snacks to ease nausea, I love the thoughtful service they are providing for pregnant people.
You can shop products individually on the site, or order one of the curated trimester boxes. These would make for such a great gift for a mom to be, or yourself! Courtney, the owner of Birth Order, packs and ships each box. You can feel the love when going through your special delivery.
Birth Order was kind enough to send me over the Third Trimester Deluxe Box, and it was such a nice treat. I will definitely be adding this to my list of baby shower gifts to give, as I think gifts for mom are just as important as gifts for the new baby. The massage roller is definitely my favorite item in the box. Mr G gives me a nightly back massage with this, and it feels so good on my sore hips. I also pop it under the table while I’m working to roll my feet on. It feel SO GOOD.
The date spread is also delish in the morning on toasted bread. Apparently, dates can have a very positive effect on labor and delivery. Research suggests they have an oxytocin-like effect on the body, which helps the uterus relax and become more sensitive. Plus, we all know that constipation in the third trimester is real, plus they are a great source of fiber, magnesium, folate, and potassium!
I’ve already got an order ready of some things to put in my hospital bag, like the Postpartum Infused Pads, the Organic Nipple Cream, and the Sitz Spray!
Birth Order was kind enough to give me a coupon code for you guys for 10% off your order. Just use the code MADDYG at checkout!
