There is no better feeling than coming home after a long time away and taking a shower with all of your favorite things. it is one of my favorite rituals, and today I really took it as far as I could.
Splitting our time between two places has really been great for me on the beauty friend. It’s allowed me to try lots of new products, see what really works well for my skin and hair, and it also really put into perspective what my favorite products are when I have the opportunity to miss them.
So without further ado, here are the things I reached for my first shower in the apartment in over a month.
The Alterna Renewing Scalp Care Scrub to Foam is one of those things I can’t stop talking about. I swear I have the best hair day whenever I use this. It starts as a scrub and transforms into a super-rich lather that leaves my scalp feeling fresh and clean without stripping my hair.
I love Beauty Pie’s Super Healthy Hair Repair Treatment. I only have to leave it on for a few minutes, which automatically makes it something I’m way more likely to use. It’s an ode to the classic Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer at a much more affordable price.
Fable and Mane’s Holi Roots Hair Mask is my ride or die. It is ridiculously hydrating, makes my hair feel freshly trimmed, and smells incredible. Best of all, it doesn’t weigh my thin hair down in the least.
While those two hair masks had time to sit and mingle with my locks, I got to work on my body.
First Aid Beauty’s KP Bump Eraser is THE BEST of the best. I’ve talked about it endlessly for good reason. If you have any kind of texture or pigmentation on your body, I can’t recommend this enough. Tap here for my full review!
The Hanni Razor and Shave Pillow have become a staple in my shower routine. I started out with this kit and really love it! While I think the razor is great, I’m not super loyal to any shaving device. But the Shave Pillow?! It’s perfection. It is super soft and feels great on the skin, but isn’t foaming (I hate traditional shave cream). It’s like shaving your legs with the lightest layer of silky conditioner. And it smells incredible, too!
Finally, Beauty Pie’s body washes are some of my favs. The Soul Providers Energizing Body Wash has this beautiful, fresh, citrus scent that feels invigorating without being obnoxious or fake. It lathers wonderfully with my silicone scrubber and just makes washing my body so enjoyable.
That’s my shower done! Any favorite products you think I should try?
