Whether it is white jeans or a white blazer, the old school rules of no white after Labor Day are long gone. Both can be more than stylish and totally appropriate for the fall and winter months. I recently grabbed the Sophie Sweater Blazer in ivory from J. Crew and absolutely love it.
As a plus-size woman, blazers can often feel stiff, restricting, or just a little bulky. One reason I love the sweater blazer is that it is just like adding a cardigan on top of your outfit but with structure! It is soft and moldable, but still gives you the polished look that a blazer does.
A tip for styling white for fall and winter is to warm it up with your favorite fall tones. Warm browns, rusty reds, deep maroons, and beautiful mauves are what I am first drawn to. Add in some leopard and a splash of black here and there, and your white is ready to frolic in the autumn leaves. But let’s not do that, because dirt. Mmmk?

Growing up, I thought that mixing browns and black was the biggest faux pas ever. As I have come into my own style and learned about what works and what doesn’t, I love mixing up all kinds of neutrals. One thing I try to keep in mind is making sure leathers are similar colors to keep your look cohesive.
A blazer doesn’t have to be stuffy or all business. I love throwing one on with a simple hoodie or a great pair of joggers to pull together a casual outfit. It adds a little polish to an outfit that would otherwise be really simple.
Love adding in some sex appeal with a blazer. They balance each other out really well and make something like a leopard silk cami a little more approachable.

A little monochrome never hurt anyone, right? Pairing cream and white can be tricky, but I think it is best to make sure they are just very different shades or tones. If you try to match them but aren’t exact, it can end up looking a little sloppy. Go for a bright white with this type of cream sweater.
