It’s still 90 degrees outside but I am ready. Ready for the leaves to turn, the air to get crisp, and to decorate with all the cozy things. I’ve put together a collection of furniture and décor that embraces my favorite seasonal change. This year we are seeing a lot of natural elements that subtly bring the warmth in to your home while the chill stays outside. I’ve also incorporated some pieces that can be staple furniture in your home-you know I’m still on the hunt for furniture for the Connecticut home!
Is it just me or are we all buying a fresh throw blanket when the season changes? I love these options from Target, Crate and Barrel, and Williams-Sonoma. The colors, the textures. Everything is screaming autumn and I love the dreamy fringe. Add a new throw pillow or two and the vibe in your living space changes right away.
I am seeing so much terracotta and ceramic this season and I can’t say I hate it. In fact, I love the neutral, rustic texture because it can be easily paired with something sleek and modern. These pumpkins and gourds add just a touch of autumn comfort and are transitional to Halloween and Thanksgiving decor, too.
We all know I am still on the hunt for the perfect console table for under our TV. But I spotted this console table from Target and I’m thinking this might be the one! It comes in multiple colorways and I love that everything closes so all the video games are out of sight. Even if it’s not used as a console table for your tv, I can see this being in an entryway, office, or even used as a kitchen coffee bar cabinet!
Gold is still very much in, and these mirrors would add the perfect touch for an entryway or bedroom, and I think they’d be a gorgeous vanity mirror as well. Gold adds the warmth we want for fall decor, but it’s also beautifully versatile that these could find a permanent place in your home.
We all know a little tablescape decor does the trick in setting the seasonal vibe, and I have been on the hunt for some new items that will do just that for the fall. A dark tablecloth would look gorgeous and add richness to your home. I have been loving having a faux floral bouquet because I’ve got enough live plants to take care of and I know when the season changes I can just store it instead of having to throw it away. Adding them to one of these gorgeous vases along with some sleek gold candlesticks and you’re ready for your autumn kick-off dinner party.
If you’re shopping for some new fall decor or maybe a new piece of furniture, there are some great options out there right now! This autumn season is going to be very natural and organic, and we are going to see lots of handmade, hand painted pieces that add depth and texture to your home.
