This week, I spent quite a bit of time searching the web and the stores for a few pieces to wear to one of my oldest friend’s wedding. She is getting married next month, and I hummed and hawed about whether I go forward a season or stay in winter. Shopping in stores is always stressful. I hate getting in and out of shoes, especially when it is gross weather outside. And the in store selection is never as good. Seriously thankful for free shipping!
I made a huge online order, and am so excited for everything to come in.In the end, I decided to stick with what I know best. Classic styles, lots of black, and a statement piece here and there. I made a huge online order, and am so excited for everything to come in. I will do a big try on and get to decide. I don’t know about you, but I always seem to be wearing the wrong bra or panty when I am out shopping. Another plus for “shopping from home,” you can change your bra and underwear for each outfit and really know how it is going to look. Just being honest, folks! This is the dress I grabbed that I a praying works out. It is definitely more out of the box for me, but I think it looks so chic, and, if the pattern lines up right, it will be SO flattering! These pieces together are pretty much my perfect outfit for any fancy occasion.
I have popped all of my favorite options below. There are a few bolder pieces, but everything should be perfect for a night out, a cocktail party or your best friend’s wedding. I think accessories are so important and really pull a look together. I would totally pair a simple black dress with some sparkly heels and big earrings to make the whole thing pop! But you still feel confident and comfortable in your LBD. I’m going to keep trying to dress outside my “uniform” and embrace my body the way it is right now. This is who I am, and it is fabulous!
